Tues: 2/13 Laissez les bons temps rouler

Laissez les bons temps rouler, let the good times roll on this Fat Tuesday!  On this final day of Epiphany, Christians around the world revel in the their last day of indulgence prior to Ash Wednesday kicking off the next 40 days of Lent.  While New Orleans hosts the largest Mardi Gras celebrations, the original is claimed to have been held in Mobile Alabama way back in 1699 and is a tradition that is still going strong today.  Mardi Gras is celebrated all over the world in places from the Cayman Islands, to the Czech Republic to Italy with each country having slight variations to their traditions but each are focused on a final throw down with your favorite indulgent treat!

For me today is gonna be filled with carbs, carbs and more carbs!  Then I’ll just cry myself to sleep as I give them up for the next 40 days!
